Password Management Preferences

To maximize the security of your professional accounts (including electronic health record system), our system does not allow for TheraClosure to hold passwords or to have access to those accounts.  Thus, in order to provide practice executor services in the event of incapacitation or death, we need a method of accessing your professional accounts that would only be activated at the time of an event.

We think the best method to use is the password manager RoboForm.  We provide you with a free subscription.  This software manager allows you to seamlessly and automatically store passwords in an encrypted form, and to log in automatically to all your professional accounts from any device that you own.  In addition, any time you update a password, the updated password will be stored in RoboForm.  The password manager also allows you to register TheraClosure for emergency access.  Therefore, TheraClosure will have no access to your passwords unless your personal representative notifies us that you have died or become incapacitated.  At that point, we would request emergency access.  RoboForm will then pause for a designated number of hours (settable by you) to allow you to deny access, after which we are granted access and can begin to fulfill the Professional Executor role.

Alternatively, you can manage your passwords yourself and provide those passwords to your personal representative (see below).  If you choose this option, you would need to provide a document with your passwords to your personal representative, and you would need to update that document any time you change any of your passwords.
